Project Overview

Pie Bazar is a Dhaka-based retailer specializing in kitchen appliances - kitchen hoods, water purifiers, air fryers, mixers and blenders, cookers, electric ovens and gas stoves. They approached Orixa to build a full-featured eCommerce platform that can handle their extensive product catalog, manage inventory and deliver a seamless shopping experience.

The platform is being built to support thousands of SKUs across leading brands like Panasonic, Philips, Bajaj, Pureit, Gazi, Miyako and InnoVision, with secure payment processing and delivery logistics integration. It is designed to be fast, reliable and easy for their non-technical team to manage.

The Challenge

Building an e-commerce platform from scratch for a wide appliance catalog comes with significant engineering decisions: designing a scalable data model, planning product variants and payment flows, and structuring the backend APIs so the storefront can grow without rewrites.

As an under-development project, the priority is a solid foundation - architecture, performance and extensibility - before the full catalogue and checkout are switched on.

Our Solution

We are building the platform with a modern JavaScript stack, delivering fast server-rendered pages for strong SEO and a smooth shopping experience, with a clean REST API powering the backend.

The stack is chosen for speed and scalability, so new product categories, brands, promotions and payment integrations can be added quickly as the business evolves.
